Bio: Dr Brendan Canavan's research is interested in understanding what more sustainable tourism might look like, and how it can be implemented. For example, he explores how virtual or videogame tourism might offer less carbon intensive alternatives to physical tourism. 

In a recent funded project, Brendan explored opportunities for local tourism stakeholder collaboration with a range of external partners, seeking to understand consumer behaviour and develop potential alternative tourism experiences.
