Bio: Dr Pauline Eadie's research has looked at the impact of typhoons on poor urban communities, specifically Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines. This relates to climate change as such weather events are becoming more frequent and severe and the research looks at how environmental disasters impact local livelihoods and how relief aid may undermine and distort local economies.
Through this research, Pauline has worked with the University of Philippines and the University of Nottingham,. The findings were fed back to local authorities via workshops and policy papers.
