Taiwan Fellowship awarded to Dr Andreas Fulda

The Republic of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has awarded the prestigious Taiwan Fellowship to Dr Andreas Fulda. The topic of his research project is “Citizen Diplomacy across the Taiwan Straits: Building Positive Relations, One Handshake at a Time?” Andreas will take stock of more than 30 years of people-to-people exchanges across the Taiwan straits.

At the heart of his research will be in-depth interviews with leading Taiwanese citizen diplomats, to be conducted during field research in Taiwan in spring and summer 2019. For more information about Andreas’ research project, please see the webinar “Citizen diplomacy across the Taiwan Straits.”
