Biography
Esther is a PhD Candidate working on developing anti-trafficking governance frameworks in post-conflict transitional states. She works as part of the Rights Lab's Data and Measurement Program on a range of projects about covering antislavery governance, civil society and survivor support. Currently she is working on enhancing systems for multi-sector, multi-organization cooperation to support network strengthening and enhance the impact of civil society organizations on ending modern slavery. Her research interests are in antislavery governance globally and locally, NGO management, the support needs of survivors, gender, and methods to reduce the push factors for slavery.
Before joining the School of Politics, Esther engaged with a number of third sector organisations in the areas of refugees and asylum seekers and survivor support, sitting on the Board of Directors for a NGO supporting youth in anti-trafficking efforts.
