Doctoral Researcher,
Raian Hossain is a doctoral researcher at the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, UK. He is affiliated with the Asia Research Institute and Taiwan Studies Programme at the University of Nottingham. Mr Hossain has completed his Bachelor of Arts (Social Science), majoring in International Studies from Monash University, and Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Nottingham. Mr Hossain is a lecturer (currently on study leave) of the Global Studies and Governance department of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Science (SLASS) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). Prior to that, he has worked as a research associate in a renowned policy oriented South Asian think tank known as Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS), where he was part of numerous research projects. Along with the experience of attending numerous conferences, seminars and workshops at home and abroad notably, Mr Hossain was a part of the Bangladesh-Myanmar track 1.5 median process arranged by the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD Centre), Singapore.
