Rory Faulkner is a first year PhD student in Politics and International Relations, supervised by Tyler Kustra and Wyn Rees. His PhD will focus on economic statecraft in an age of US-China competition, looking closely at the use of economic coercion by both countries and the recent development of economic and technological decoupling. Prior to embarking on his doctoral studies, Rory spent 15 years as an Economics and History teacher, both in the UK and China.
