Food security and Covid-19

A new video is avaiable to watch where Professor Annamaria La Chimia together with Dr Clair Gammage  (senior lecturer at Bristol Law School and former alumni) Dr Luis Eslava (Reader at Kent Law school)and Michael Fakhri, the incoming UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food explores the implications of COVID-19 in terms of food security, trade and the right to food. Professor La Chimia focuses on the role of the state and the importance of food procurement for schools.

In the coming months, Professor  La Chimia will continue her work on food procurement for schools and the right to food thanks to a new BA/Leverhulme small research grant started on 1 April 2020.
