On 2 December, Luke Butler (Director of the Executive Programme in Public Procurement Law and Policy) participated in the George Washington University Law School’s annual Comparative and International Public Procurement Law Seminar hosted by Professor Christopher Yukins (Director of GWU’s Government Procurement Law Program). The seminar focused on topical issues ranging from intellectual property in government contracts in the UK and US to the latest Buy America implications of US infrastructure legislation and the EU’s proposals for a regulation on foreign subsidies.
These seminars provide a vital opportunity to foster international collaboration in teaching and for students to learn the languages and cultures of other procurement systems. In turn, we enrich our understanding of the global challenges and opportunities facing public procurement and its regulation.
