We are delighted to announce that a new version of CHART is in the final stages of development. Please read this email carefully as there may be some information that is specifically useful for your practice.
We are excited to tell you about this new version, which will:
Release timetable
The release of CHART will be staged, with a beta version shortly after the Easter break and the full version on general release in early May.
Practices are not immediately required to install the new version of CHART and can continue to use the current version over the next two months. After this time, practices will be required to upgrade to the latest version on release of a licence or when downloading a new or updated quality improvement tool.
The only exception will be practices that wish to use the latest version of the Diabetes Care quality improvement tool, which is due to be released at the same time as new CHART and utilises the new reporting interfaces, including a second datasheet focusing on the eight care processses alone. Practices wishing to benefit from this update will need to install new CHART.
Beta version - call for interested practices
A beta version of this new CHART will be released after Easter. Any practices that are interested in using the beta version can request the software by emailing PRIMIS.
EMIS Web versions of our quality improvement tools
From May onwards, PRIMIS will start to release EMIS Web versions of our quality improvement tools for use with this new version of CHART. Practices will be able to download installation files containing system searches and reports that can run directly on EMIS Web, with the outputs displayed in new CHART, matching the summary screens produced by the MIQUEST versions of the tools.
Quality improvement tools earmarked for early release include Diabetes Care and Warfarin Patient Safety. If you would like to be kept informed about release dates for EMIS Web versions of our tools please email PRIMIS.
This is an exciting next step for PRIMIS. The coming year will see the release of our quality improvement tools in a variety of formats, providing greater choice and flexibility for customers in the future.
Additional reporting interfaces
Added functionality in new CHART gives scope for additional reporting interfaces. There are no longer any restrictions on the number of dashboards, summary screens, datasheets and graphs that can be produced for each tool. PRIMIS will be able to produce customised interfaces to meet local needs and requirements and project specific key performance indicators. Please contact PRIMIS if you would like to discuss tailored CHART services.
Other information
The new version of CHART will work with all exisitng PRIMIS quality improvement tools.
Practices using TPP SystmOne, INPS Vision and Microtest will of course be able to use and benefit from new CHART.
