It has been brought to our attention that a recently issued Public Health England/ImmForm email incorrectly states that PRIMIS will be providing an audit tool and MIQUEST query that will run the bulk extract through the CHART tool.
PRIMIS would like to confirm that there is NO audit tool or MIQUEST query and that practices DO NOT have to run the audit themselves as it will be done automatically by bulk collection through their GP IT systems.
PRIMIS developed a specification document from which system suppliers have prepared their bulk extraction audits. This specification document was commissioned by Public Health England/ImmForm.
Although practices won’t need to do anything to run the audits themselves, they can begin looking at their recording against pregnancy codes. PRIMIS has prepared a pdf document of advisory Read codes to support the pertussis programme and this is available for practices to download.
This document details examples of reasonable Read codes to capture delivery details and concepts, such as premature birth, vaccination declined and vaccination administered. A pdf document listing the pertussis vaccination business rules is also available.
Find out more about the specification document or to download the two PRIMIS PDF documents on the following PRIMIS website page:
