PRIMIS has just released the specification document written to inform the ‘flu uptake survey for the 2013/14 season.
This specification has been developed by PRIMIS for Public Health England. The specification is used to develop the audit tool that will enable practices to clearly identify all patients receiving the vaccination, in a format that is compatible with the ImmForm requirements. The specification has already been shared with the GP IT suppliers.Please note that this specification is for vaccine uptake monitoring purposes only. It is important that it is not used for recall or payment purposes.The pregnancy groups include patients who may have been eligible for a period of time but are no longer eligible. Due to the complications around recording pregnancy, other methods should be used if practices wish to identify patients that are at risk and require vaccination. Any results should be subject to clinical review. Details of the release date for the CHART ‘flu uptake survey and the ‘flu recall audit tools for the 2013/14 will be announced on the PRIMIS website shortly, so please keep an eye out or subscribe to our Twitter feed. In advance of the audit tool availability, please make sure you have the latest version of the CHART software tool.The ‘flu uptake survey audit tool continues to be free to use, but will only be available via the PRIMIS Hub membership service. Practices wishing to use the audit tool but who have not already joined PRIMIS Hub may wish to sign up for a free membership in preparation. The ‘flu recall audit tool will available for full members of the PRIMIS Hub only, although basic members will be able to purchase the tool outside of membership for a modest one-off fee.
