The PRIMIS Data Quality Indicators (PDQI) audit tool is proving to be popular since its launch earlier this summer. Over 200 practices across 36 CCGs have downloaded and used the audit tool already.
Some practices using PDQI are missing out though on the full benefits of this comprehensive audit tool, as they have not yet uploaded their results back to PRIMIS.Kerry Oliver, PRIMIS Managing Director, commented; “We want to get the message out to all practices using PDQI to upload their results and not to simply use the audit in-practice. Practices may have missed that there is extra value from getting their data to show online. PDQI is an amazing tool to measure data quality, and the uploads help both practices and their CCGs to see how each practice ‘rates’ and improves.”The main benefits for practices that have uploaded their PDQI audit results back to PRIMIS are the comparative analysis aspects. Practices can compare their data to other practices (within their CCG) and soon will also be able to compare their own data over time to map results and improvements for benchmarking.Other benefits include discovering how well the practice ‘rates’ within the CCG, being able to print out a practice summary and viewing results in a red/amber/green graphical format with indicator levels carefully devised by clinicians. Each PDQI practice level report is bespoke, created specifically from a practice’s data and is unique to that practice.CCGs whose practices upload data with the PDQI tool can see each practice’s results. They can also obtain a summary report of how the CGG as a whole has fared for planning purposes and to compare their data quality to other participating CCGs.PDQI is exclusively available to full PRIMIS Hub members.
