Laura Outhwaite, who has been at Nottingham since an undergraduate, has been awarded the University’s Longstanding Volunteer Award, in recognition of all the additional activities Laura has supported in sport, education, and the Children & Childhood Network.
Laura will be leaving Nottingham after 7 years at the end of this month to take up a 5-year fellowship position at the Institute of Education, UCL. Her PhD supervisor, Professor Nicola Pitchford, says "she has been an outstanding student and one the School should be very proud of."
Each year the university thanks volunteers for their exceptional commitment and enthusiasm with awards for ‘Alumni Volunteer of the Year’, ‘Community Volunteer of the Year’, ‘Longstanding Volunteer’ and ‘University of Nottingham Volunteer of the Year’.
