This week, Dr Roger Newport, inventor of MIRAGE (www.miragelab.co.uk) travelled to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History to install his latest mediated-reality illusion box. The installation is part of the museum's new Brain Diaries Exhibition (#braindiaries). Brain Diaries is a neuroscience exhibition designed to engage and inform the general public about the life of the brain using contemporary neuroscience research. The exhibition, which opens on Friday and will run until the end of the year, will be visited by over a quarter of a million people.
In other news, another of Dr. Newport's MIRAGE machines is about to embark on a tour of South Australia in a 'Brain Bus' as part of the Pain Revolution event (www.painrevolution.org) designed to educated thousands of people, as well as rural practitioners, about the causes and management of chronic pain.
