Pint of Science

There was a strong psychology component in 2017 Pint of Science week (May 15th-17th), in which both Charlotte Bonardi and Ellen Townsend gave talks in sell-out events at the Canal House in Nottingham, around the themes of Learn to Behave and Mental Healthy.

Ellen described her work on the psychological and social factors associated with self harm in the young, while Charlotte tried to convince her audience that Pavlovian conditioning can explain some of the environmental triggers underlying maintenance of addictive behaviours.
