Among the 200 scientific projects on offer through this fully funded doctoral training programme, Psychology will be offering some exciting PhD projects for autumn 2020 start. Students take 2 rotations on different projects in year 1 before selecting one to continue.   • Evaluating the effect of training on pupillometry, EEG, and performance on a naturalistic driving task
  • The effects of physical activity and social enrichment on healthy brain ageing.

  • Recruiting functional brain networks to improve sight after stroke
  • The role of circadian clock genes in cognition
  • Hetero-synaptic plasticity in health and disease
  • Substrates of Recognition Memory in Mice
  • Integrating human single neuron spiking and oscillations
