I graduated from The University of Liverpool with a BSc in Psychology and spent a year teaching English as a Second Language in Hamburg, Germany. My PhD was supervised by Dr Kathy Conklin (School of English) and Dr Walter van Heuven (School of Psychology).
Following my PhD I spent two years working as a Teaching Associate in the School of Psychology, before taking up a Lectureship at the University of Derby Online Learning in 2014. I moved back to Nottingham in 2022 as Course Director for MSc Conversion Programme (by Distance Learning).
