Teaching within the School of Psychology - typical topics may include biological psychology, neurological and psychiatric disorders, cognitive changes across the lifespan and research perspectives in neuroscience.
My research career is focused on investigating the mechanisms of brain function and dysfunction through a range of imaging, behavioural and molecular biology approaches utilising experimental models of CNS injury. I am particularly interested in developing novel MRI methodologies for examining brain function, investigating the role of sex and steroid hormones in ischaemic stroke/cognitive decline and increasing the translational relevance of experimental models of CNS injury and disease.
