Current Research

I'm working on the haptic control and force sensing of the continuum robot. Continuum robot have significant advantages on medical and industrial aspect. Providing haptic feedback would greatly benefit the efficiency and safety of continuum robot teleportation. To acquire transparent force feedback, I'm working on some force sensing method which can be applied to the measure the contact force of continuum robot, especially for those have constraint size and work space.

Past Research

I had worked on the kinematics and path planning of redundant robot before coming to the UK.

Future Research

In the future, I'd like to develop a haptic teleportation system with real-time force feedback from robot tip. The system is expect to provide a solution for the force sensing and position control of continuum robot in the constraint environment.
