Collaboration with Harbin Institute of Technology enhanced

Richard speaks to the undergraduates at HIT

Richard Leach spent a week at the Harbin Institute of Technology, where he is a visiting professor and has High-level Expert status. HIT have recently reorganised their departments and MMT's visiting professor Jian Liu is now the Dean of the new School of Instrumentation Science and Engineering. Prof. Liu's research group has also moved to new state-of-the-art facilities, and Richard now has his own spacious office, as he will spend at least one month per year in HIT. Richard gave presentations on research and hints & tips about academic life to the group and to a large number of engineering undergraduate students. Richard also kicked-off a project on calibration of confocal microscopy with assistant professor Dr Yuhang Wang and student Mr Li Yifei.
