Maren Gottesmann, a PhD student from the Institute for Pharmaceutical Biology and Phytochemistry from the University of Muenster, Germany has joined our Helicobacter research team. Maren will be working on the mechanisms of adhesion inhibition of compounds isolated from Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), which is used in Ayurvedic and other traditional medicine for the treatment of gastric ailments.

Her 3-month trip is funded by a Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Travel Grant.
