Naim Hage was recently selected for a podium presentation position at the 41st Annual Meeting & Exposition of the Controlled Release Society in Chicago, USA. The talk, entitled ‘A biomimetic strategy for gastric targeting based on Helicobacter pylori’, focused on the biophysical properties of a recombinant protein, engineered in the Falcone lab in collaboration with AstraZeneca R&D. This recombinant protein is based on a bacterial adhesion molecule and shows promising use as a targeting moiety for attaching nanoscale drug carriers to the gastric epithelium. The Controlled Release Society publishes the Journal of Controlled Release, Drug Delivery and Translational Research, and Biomaterials.
