Professor Sharon Monteith awarded a British Academy Landmark Conference grant

Co-director of the Centre for Research in Race and Rights and her collaborators will convene conference in 2016 on civil rights and film

British Academy Landmark Conference grants are awarded to scholars who can demonstrate academic leadership and vision to run a landmark conference featuring leading-edge research as part of the Academy's events programme. The grant provides full funding, a venue at the Academy premises and organizing for conferences that will be pivotal events, of lasting significance in the field, and examine current and future issues surrounding novel, dynamic, innovative and exciting subject areas in the humanities and social sciences.
