The first Hand Fracture Research Workshop of the newly established Centre for Evidence Based Hand Surgery (CEBHS) at the University of Nottingham took place on 20th May 2016. Over 40 hand surgeons and therapists from across the country came together in an interactive workshop, to discuss how clinical research should investigate the treatment of common hand fractures.
The workshop included talks on aspects of trial design, research setting group exercises and open discussion culminating in the prioritisation of key research questions. The aim was to bring together clinicians and therapists who want to contribute to the development and delivery of future multicentre trials, and may wish to join a CEBHS Hand Fracture Research Group.
