Biography

Ola is a post-doctoral research fellow in the One Virology group. She finished her undergraduate degree in the veterinary sciences in 2014 and completed a master degree in Egypt in fowlpox virus in 2017. She did her PhD at the University of Nottingham in the field of plant-based vaccines in 2023.

Expertise Summary

Throughout Ola's career so far, she has gained a comprehensive range of relevant laboratory skills, plus more specialised molecular biology experience. She has been fortunate to have an insight into different research areas and has therefore developed an interest specifically in infectious diseases. She is highly inquisitive, analytical, and passionate about biological science.

Ola's main research interests are plant-based vaccines, and the use of pseudotyped viruses in testing the efficacy of these vaccines.
