Description
5 February 2025

Please join UNCLC for what promises to be an exciting seminar on ‘The Duty to Protect Intellectual Property v The Balance with Other Interests and Rights’.

The distinguished panel will consist of Professor Simon Geiregat (University of Ghent) and Professor Paul Torremans (University of Nottingam), Dr Alison Slade (University of Leicester), Dr Ana Nordberg (University of Lund), and Dr Joanna Wisniowska (University of Nottingham).

Starting from the duty on states to protect intellectual property rights, the panel will look at other rights and interest that have the potential to interfere with that protection: human rights, morality, access to medicines and vaccines and even exhaustion.

The seminar will be chaired by Professor Paul Torremans.

All are welcome to attend.
