How to establish a career in international professional services for the 21st Century will vary greatly from the last 30 years of globalisation. Following the 2008 global financial crisis, the rise of China and the developing world, and now the global pandemic, not to mention Brexit for the UK, careers for legal and other professionals will become more complex in terms of the markets available to them. Yet, opportunities could be abundant depending on how an international career is strategically developed.
After commencing in legal publishing with Lexis Nexis' Tolley Publishing UK , in the 1980s, Bob focused on an international advisory services career following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Since that time he has held high level tax and legal advisory positions with Deloitte Asia Pacific, in Hong Kong; Ernst & Young International, in Singapore; PwC CIS/CEE in Moscow and Prague; KPMG UK in London, Gibraltar and Isle of Man; Womble Bond Dickinson UK, in London and Washington DC. He is currently working with another international law firm in the City of London, and with an international professional services firm, Dezan Shira, based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Hanoi, Delhi and Jakarta.
This seminar is aimed at PGT and final year UG but all are welcome to attend.
