Interested in a career in law and like IP? What about being a trade mark attorney? A trade mark attorney is a specialist Intellectual Property lawyer. They focus on protecting and enforcing the branding of a client through trademarks as well as the look of products through designs and copyright. It is a specialist law career which follows a different path to the traditional solicitor route. It provides an opportunity for those who are interested in a legal career in IP to focus, from the start, on Intellectual Property.

In this session Harrison Lee, a trade mark attorney at Potter Clarkson, and Peter Vaughan, a trade mark attorney and senior lecturer at Nottingham Law School, will discuss what a trade mark attorney is and does and the ways to enter this interesting and varied career. They will give examples of the type of work you could do, give you a chance to experience some of the work that you might encounter.
