Description

UNCLC looks forward to welcoming Dr Asad Khan to give a seminar on 'Empirical Study on UK Corporate Insolvencies'.

The Pari Passu principle is often regarded as the fundamental rule of corporate insolvency law. Yet, how often do we see pari passu distribution in practice? In this guest seminar, Dr Khan shares his PhD research that empirically analysed corporate insolvency distributions and updated the data from the last similar study which was over 20 years ago.  Join this talk to learn about Asad’s research and his experience as a trainee solicitor at BCLP LLP!

University of Nottingham alumni Asad Khan completed his PhD at Nottingham and joined BCLP LLP as a trainee in September 2023. Asad Khan is a published author and has written several articles analysing the UK’s corporate insolvency regime. Asad is currently a trainee solicitor at BCLP LLP and has so far sat in the following seats: Real Estate, Construction Disputes, and Finance Transactions.
