On 5-6 September, Professor Irit Mevorach, Professor of International Commercial Law and Co-Director of the University of Nottingham Commercial Law Centre, participated in INSOL Europe High Level Course on Insolvency Law in Nicosia, Cyprus.
She ran modules on access to insolvency procedures, directors obligations and cross-border insolvency theory and practice. Other modules addressed rescue mechanisms, recovery of assets, and other aspects of insolvency proceedings.
About 100 local practitioners, bankers and policy makers participated. The purpose was to discuss best practice international standards, regional developments, and provide comparative perspectives through interactive and engaging sessions.
