Prof Derclaye was invited to give a talk on the impact of technical function on the protection requirements in design law at a conference organised by the “Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles” (APRAM) which took place on 17 March 2022. At the end of the conference, prizes were given to the 3 best students in France (mainly those doing an intellectual property masters) who wrote an essay on a topic related to design law.

This hybrid conference was attended over 100 French and Belgian practitioners and students in person in Paris and several hundreds more who were also listening remotely. Prof Derclaye’s talk was well received and she enjoyed discussing more with delegates over lunch.
