Professor Irit Mevorach will discuss issues of cross-border insolvency and global lessons for India in a webinar-panel co-hosted by the International Insolvency Institute and the Indian Institute of Insolvency Professionals of ICAI (IIIPI) on 17 June at 12 noon (GMT)/7am (ET)/4:30pm (IST).
The webinar is to support India’s initiative to adopt the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency, with the goal of discussing why cross-border reform is needed, key differences in its draft legislation compared with the Model Law, and a discussion from a financial/economic perspective of why reform is necessary. The panel will include international experts, as well as local speakers who will provide the Indian perspective.
