Date
24/10/2024
Location:
Online
Description
During this seminar, experts drawn from different world regions will explore the prospects for future generations' rights and international inter-generational justice following the recently held UN Summit of the Future and the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development's latest report on "Right to development of children and future generations". They will explore questions including: to what extent do the Pact/Declaration move forward protection of future generations' right in terms of international human rights law and international law more generally? How can the progress made at the Summit be embedded in rights-related decision-making processes at international and national levels? What is left to be done?

Wobble Week 2024!

Date
28/10/2024 - 01/11/2024
Description
A week of activities to support students who are feeling overwhelmed by university. You might be missing home, feeling like you don't fit in, finding it difficult to motivate yourself to learn, finding your second year university experience differs from your first, and if you are an international student you may be struggling with British culture. Everyone experiences moments where they feel unsure about things or have a 'wobble'. Wobbles can happen about anything at any time. We want you to know that however your feeling it's OK. The university is well prepared to support you. Wobble week aims to foster a sense of belonging between all students across campus, encouraging an honesty in sharing and acknowledging some of our more vulnerable moments. Wobble Week provides an opportunity to unwind, share and belong.
