'Corpus Linguistics beyond Boundaries: Interdisciplinary Applications' (A one-day Symposium)
This one-day symposium accords with this burgeoning enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and aims to showcase innovative applications of corpus linguistics beyond its traditional boundaries. Papers are invited for this symposium. We are particularly looking for contributions that (i) embrace interdisciplinarity and (ii) illustrate such interactions through specific analysis.
The plenary speaker will be Professor Paul Baker from Lancaster University. We welcome abstracts of up to 300 words for 20 minutes presentations, sent to the CRAL email address by 10 May. Please submit your abstract as a Word attachment and include also 5 keywords, your name, affiliation, academic title, email address, and a short biography. Postgraduate and early-career researchers are especially encouraged to participate. Those who would like to attend the symposium without presenting a paper are very welcome to do so and should confirm their attendance by email. For more information please visit the symposium website.
The Corpus Linguistics beyond Boundaries symposium will follow the Summer School 'Corpus Linguistics: Tools and Applications' (7-9 July, 2015). Attendees are encouraged but not obliged to attend both events.
