We are pleased to announce that the CJRC, in partnership with the European Society of Criminology Working Group on the Collateral Consequences of Criminal Records, are launching a special issue of Probation Journal on the theme ‘Criminalisation, criminal records and rehabilitation: from supervision to citizenship?’
The special issue explores the extent to which the acquisition of a criminal record is compatible with the successful transition of people who have been subject to criminal sanctions from ‘supervised subjects’ into ‘citizens of equal merit’. It includes contributions which explore the:

The seminar will be followed by a panel discussion and question and answer session with the contributors to the special issue including Caroline Bald, Dr Lauren Bradford-Clarke, Professor Rob Canton, Dr Abi Stark and Dr Hannah Wilkinson.
The event is being held on Wednesday 26 October 2022 from 3.30-5.30pm in B63, LASS followed by a wine reception in the Atrium. It will be hybrid mode, so you can take part in-person or via Microsoft Teams.
