Solution precursor HVOF publication

Daniel Tejero's work on solution precursor high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying of niobium-doped titanium oxide has been published on Ceramics International. The paper was published as Open Access, meaning that anyone can download it and read it here

The research investigates the deposition process involved in solution precursor HVOF, from the initial breakup of the droplets as they enter the combustion chamber and flame, to the physico-chemical process underlying the formation of a solid coating. A thorough research on the effects that flame power has on the microstructure and phase composition of the coating was conducted, correlating the apparent counter-intuitive increase of anatase content with higher flame powers to the formation of Nb-doped TiO2 solid material.

Congratulations to Daniel Tejero on his first research paper.
