An opportunity to explore the rich and under-appreciated playwriting of DH Lawrence through readings, talks and panel discussions.
DH Lawrence is best known for novels such as Lady Chatterley’s Lover and Women in Love but he also wrote eight plays, although few were staged in his lifetime.
This afternoon is an opportunity to explore his rich and under-appreciated playwriting. Readings, talks and panel discussions will look at plays including The Fight for Barbara and David, and will also examine some of the theatrical moments in his novels and short stories.
