Laurence and Marie will present during the digital lab meeting this week.
This talk will mainly be a synopsis of a completed study and an outline of my ongoing practice-based research into Audio Augmented Reality. I'll outline the subject, my approach, my methodology, the technology I'm engaged with, introduce an emerging conceptual and theoretical framework, present some initial findings and outline two creative and collaborative projects I'm currently working on along with my plans for studying them.
This talk introduces a scoping review of on-the-body data collection studies since 2009 designed for the purpose of evaluating mood and mood disorders. The review examined 59 studies; investigating research methods, biosignals, mood tools and data analysis techniques employed. The study is a scoping review of literature found with keywords “wearable” and “mood” and follows the PRISMA extension for scoping reviews checklist. The review finds that a vast array of methods, tools and techniques have been employed, illustrating a field of study that has not yet found a clear direction. This is a field where many research gaps and a vast expanse of as yet uncharted territory still remain. Marie Dilworth is a PhD candidate (2017 cohort) with the Horizon CDT, Mixed Reality Lab and Nottingham BRC whose PhD research is entitled "Measuring Mood with Wearable Technology".
