Biography

Ali-Reza is an NIHR research fellow at the University of Nottingham. He obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (2004), M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (2007), and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (2017) from the University of Tehran, Iran. During his Ph.D., he joined Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, MI, USA, as a visiting Ph.D. student for 16 months (2016 - 2017). During his Ph.D. his research focus was multivariate data analysis focusing on multi-modal data fusion. Following his Ph.D., he joined the University of Nottingham as a research fellow (2018). Currently, as a member of the Computational Neuroimaging Lab, the focus of his research is the development of methods and tools for the analysis of brain imaging datasets. He is currently working on developing multi-modal brain imaging pre-processing pipelines. He has also been working on an imaging-genetics study to find the association between known idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and anatomical, structural, and functional brain imaging-derived features in a large cohort of subjects like UK Biobank. His main research interest involves multi-modal data fusion, multivariate data analysis, and neuroimaging.
