Biography
Ignacio Corradini is a Clinical Assistant Lecturer in Equine Medicine at the SVMS and he is a Board Certified ands European Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine (DipECEIM & Equine Internal Medicine EBVS). He completed his veterinary degree in 2001 at the UCC in Córdoba, Argentina. Following his graduation, he embarked on a one-year internship at an equine racetrack hospital in Buenos Aires, furthering his practical experience. Subsequently, he did an Equine Neonatology Internship at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center at Virginia Tech university, in the United States. Continuing his professional journey, he gained valuable experience by working at a busy equine ambulatory practice near Barcelona, Spain.
His commitment to excellence in equine medicine led him to complete a comprehensive three-year Residency Clinical Training Program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. After that, his academic and clinical journey has taken him to various academic institutions, including the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, and the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, Spain. Additionally, he has earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Veterinary Research. His research focuses on clinical scenarios, with his current PhD studies centering on equine ocular bio-fluid metabolomics.
Balancing academic and clinical responsibilities, he dedicates approximately half of his time at associate equine clinics, leads the DAC Equine Clinical Final Year Rotation at the Defense Animal Training Regiment in Melton Mowbray and also the Core Equine Clinical Rotations at the SB campus.
Beyond his professional pursuits, he has a deep passion for music, enjoying both playing and dancing. He is an avid enthusiast of outdoor activities, with his recent focus directed towards rock climbing and mountaineering.
