Description: The largest worldwide clinical trial of a new revolutionary stroke treatment called Therapeutic Hypothermia, has opened in the UK. The EuroHYP-1 trial tests Therapeutic Hypothermia; a cooling treatment that helps reduce the risk of injury to brain tissue following a period of insufficient blood flow, which occurs during a stroke. The treatment has been proven to be remarkably effective in saving patients and reducing brain damage.
