Biography

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2013. Prior to this I graduated with Honors from the University of California Davis in 2008, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a Minor in English.

As a veterinary surgeon in small animal practice I have developed interests in imaging, medicine and dentistry, as well as communication skills. I have a particular interest in the research and delivery of veterinary education. Since joining the University of Nottingham I work in both undergraduate and continuing education, including the Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice and the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Veterinary) Apprenticeship.

Teaching Summary

I teach across multiple years of the veterinary undergraduate course, primarily in companion animal clinical science.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (FHEA) and in 2024 was awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) with Distinction.
