Biography

My name is Louise and I am a Teaching Associate in Veterinary Education. I am a vet and I qualified from Nottingham vet school in 2012. I worked in small animal practice for two years before heading to the RVC to complete a small animal rotating internship. After my internship I worked for a busy charity clinic in central London before returning to Nottingham vet school in April 2016 to do a PhD. My PhD looked at small animal consultations and what 'good' looks like from the perspective of both vets and clients. I started my role as Teaching Associate in June 2019 and I am mainly responsible for developing and delivering teaching in non-technical skills such as communication and professionalism, whilst continuing to do a little bit of research on the side. Outside of work, most of my time is spent looking after my young daughter and my black Labrador, Gully. I enjoy wildlife photography and I love to travel, preferably to places off the beaten track.
