Naomi Prosser completed a BSc in Zoology with a Professional Training Year at Cardiff University from 2011 to 2015, before completing a PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Warwick from 2015 to 2019. She has been working a Research Fellow in the Ruminant Population Health group since 2019.

Currently I am working on a BBSRC-funded project investigating resilience of dairy cows to calving, following health, production and reproduction parameters in cows from multiple farms from the just before calving to the end of the lactation to investigate resilience of cows to the stressor of calving and creating a tool to help farmers identify resilient cows and those that need interventions earlier.
For my undergraduate research projects I investigated the effects of forest logging managements on the body condition of Bornean banteng, creating a body condition scoring system for use with camera trap images, and investigated pollution levels in tributaries of the river Wye. Since then my research has focused on ruminant epidemiology, with my PhD research focusing on the bacterial diversity and farmer managements for footrot in sheep and my previous postdoctoral projects focusing on cattle farmer psychosocial factors associated with their behaviour for disease control and their use of data for decision-making.
