Accelerating the adoption of sustainable technologies
The Waterside along the River Trent is part of a major regeneration project in Nottingham known as Project SCENe (Sustainable Community Energy Networks).
The University of Nottingham worked with Blueprint, specialists in the development of sustainable homes and workspace, on the design and delivery of this sustainable housing development that is acting as a catalyst for change in the area.
A recent funding award from the Active Building Centre is supporting the latest project at the site and will investigate ways of supplying locally generated renewable energy to residential buildings.
Project SCENe (Sustainable Community Energy Networks) aims to accelerate the adoption of Community Energy Systems, a different way of generating and supplying locally generated heat and electricity to homes and commercial buildings.
