Lord Dearing Award 2017 recipient Dr Arp has been made a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA, UK) in January of the same year. These recognitions highlight his sustained mentorship and guidance to colleagues over time, and follow his acceptance as Fellow of the HEA in 2015. While Fellows have to demonstrate, for example, "successful engagement in continuing professional development in relation to teaching, learning, assessment and, where appropriate, related professional practices", Senior Fellows have to provide detailed evidence of "sustained and successful co-ordination, support, supervision, management and/or mentoring of others (whether individuals and/or teams) in relation to teaching and learning". The merit Dr Arp has gained as developmental reviewer for high-ranked journals has also helped with this recognition.
Frithjof has lectured and taught at all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education. He has developed curriculum for Master of International Business (postgraduate), Cross-cultural Communication and Negotiation (undergraduate), and International Human Resource Management (undergraduate) programmes.
