Regenerative medicines with the potential to help cure diseases

My research focuses on the study of hydrogels and investigates their potential for clinical delivery and to support tissue regeneration. It has the potential to help those with disorders and diseases that cannot currently be cured. I chose to work in regenerative medicine as my passion is to develop biomaterials, solutions and strategies. Nottingham offers one of the best research platforms and has absolutely world-class excellence in super critical fluid, which is what drives my research. I’ve developed a bone extracellular matrix hydrogel, which is a material that we make from bone to help people with illnesses that are currently uncurable.

Why Nottingham?

The Anne McLaren Research fellowships are an amazing opportunity to have designated research time in an inspiring position. It gave me access to great facilities, and I was really supported with my research and in the development of my collaborative networks. I truly feel that Nottingham is the right place for me to develop my strengths and to become a research team leader of the future.
