Below you can find out more about our latest events and activities on offer to support you and your students, from across the University of Nottingham. 

Widening Participation and Outreach programmes and events

Careers Advisers' and Teachers' Conferences 2025 - book your place! 

Our Nottingham Conference will be taking place on 24 April at University Park. Learn how to support your students aspiring to the University of Nottingham. Back by popular demand: this years conference will include tours of some of our fantastic facilities! Ellie Rowley, Fair Access Programme Lead, will also be returning to discuss Personal Statement changes for Y12s, and to update on the Outreach Connections Service. For teachers or advisers travelling over 70 miles each way, we can provide accommodation for the night before the conference.

Our London Conference will take place on 4 June at Woburn House and will be run in collaboration with the University of Birmingham. Our programme is packed with the latest information from a wide variety of subject areas including Biosciences, Cultural Media and Visual Studies and routes within Engineering. Specific information will be provided for your students aspiring to study Medicine, including changes to our courses for 2026 entry!

Care Professionals Conference 2025 

Thursday 8 May, 9.30am, University Park Campus, NG7 2RD. 

Do you work with young people in care? Could you support them to consider, apply to, and thrive in higher education? 

Join the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University for a day of collaboration, sharing best practice and asking questions. The day will include guest speakers from Propel into Higher Education and Student Finance England. Current students will be on hand to chat to and talk about their lived experience. Lunch will be provided.

University wide subject specific opportunities and events

 

A number of schools and departments across the University also run outreach activities in specific subjects. These activities include demonstrations in schools, taster days held at the University and support from current students within the schools.

Using the University libraries

There are ten libraries across the University’s UK campuses containing a wealth of resources on a myriad of subjects. Library staff are keen to give local schools access to these. Please visit the school group visit page for further information.
