Events Volunteering

At University of Nottingham Sport, we're fortunate to have an outstanding portfolio of facilities that attract several major national and international events every year, including the Touch Rugby World Cup and the British Transplant Games.

These events offer students the opportunity to volunteer in a range of support roles including ticketing, team liaison, media and officiating.

The programme offers University of Nottingham students an ideal opportunity to gain real events experience working with a range of national and international organisations.

The Role

done Volunteers can register for as many events as they wish, with no minimum commitment.
done

Benefits and training vary by event; volunteers may be able to access training and event kit as examples.

Your Commitment

done This will depend on the event you'd like to volunteer at. Please be aware, the majority take place at evenings and weekends.
done Volunteers may also be asked to commit to training sessions ahead of the event - you will be advised in advance by your event organiser.
done All details will be advertised with the individual event applications.

What upcoming events are there?

Touch Rugby World Cup Touch Rugby World Cup

Held every four years, the World Cup brings together teams from across the globe for a truly international carnival of high quality sport. The World Cup is reflecting the global growth of Touch by becoming bigger and more impressive with each edition.

15th July - 21st July
British Rowing Junior and Senior Championships British Rowing Junior and Senior Championships

British Rowing is the governing body for the sport of rowing (both indoor rowing and rowing on water), they are responsible for participation and the development of rowing.

19th July - 22nd July
UoN Sport are official volunteering partner of British Transplant Games British Transplant Games

Taking place in different host cities every Summer, the games see teams from hospitals across the UK come together to compete in a medley of sports. The 4-day event attracts around 1000 transplant athletes and more than 1700 supporters
