David Ross Sports Village gym set to undergo winter transformation
The University of Nottingham has teamed up with Life Fitness™ to completely re-design the Gym at David Ross Sports Village this Winter.
Improvements are set to include brand new lifting and resistance technology, new lighting and improved flooring to re-imagine the gym space and increase capacity.
Refurbishment work will start on Wednesday 6 December 2023 with the new gym opening on the Tuesday 2 January 2024.
The brand new Functional Training Room (FTR) at Jubilee Sport Centre will be available to members along with our regular fitness provision across our other campuses facilities.
The redevelopment will combine best-in-class Life Fitness™ and Hammer Strength equipment to create a flawlessly integrated functional training experience.
Additional improvements include:
- More lifting racks and larger free weights area
- Improved layout and selection of pin loaded and plate loaded resistance machines
- Dedicated fitness Class area
- Lighter lifting area
- New functional Training Area
- Improved layout and use of space
Alongside upgrades to the fitness equipment, the team are connecting a brand-new music system, adding LED lighting and installing new mirrors to motivate and inspire.
